Innoson Group is building one of the largest CNG vehicle plant facilities in the world, with annual capacity for up to 3,000 units across six vehicle types. Executive Chairman Innocent Chukwuma announced the project, saying the factory—fitted with modern manufacturing tech—will finish construction in the coming months.
Chukwuma reaffirmed his commitment to local production. He called Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing one of Africa’s biggest private employers. The company already supports thousands of families. And it plans to add about 2,000 new workers in 2026 alone—thanks to this expansion.
“This growth reflects our belief in Nigerian talent,” Chukwuma said. “Industrial progress must come from within.”
Beyond assembly, the CNG vehicle plant will run a hands-on technical training program for young Nigerians. Trainees will learn real-world manufacturing skills. Afterward, they’ll either join Innoson’s workforce or earn certification to work elsewhere in the sector.
Chukwuma stressed that job creation and skills development are vital tools against insecurity. “When youth have purpose and paychecks, communities grow safer,” he explained.
The timing aligns with a continental shift. African governments now promote gas-powered and electric transport as cleaner alternatives to petrol and diesel. By betting on CNG, Innoson positions Nigeria as a potential leader in next-generation vehicle manufacturing.
This move could reshape regional supply chains. It may also boost industrial self-reliance and create ripple effects across West Africa’s auto and energy sectors.
In short, Innoson isn’t just building vehicles—it’s building opportunity. With its new CNG vehicle plant, the company turns vision into steel, circuits, and skilled jobs for a new generation.
